The United States of America's Political Map and Information

File:US map - states.png

Politics of United States

There are politics of all countries, and the United States is no different. The United States is a democracy, which means ruled by the people.  The people vote for their representatives and senators, which work with the president, who is also voted by the people, to make laws. The United States has 50 states, and every presidential election there are 538 voters, which is equal proportion to the population. For example, California has the largest population, so it has the largest number of electoral votes. Alaska is not well populated with people (excluding American Indians and Eskimos). This is why Alaska has only 3 electoral votes.

US Politics: Democrat or Republican?

In the United States, the political election of 2016 is coming up and people are debating about to being Democrat or Republican. Some states are safe states, like California. Other states are swing states, like Florida and Ohio. Another name for swing states are borderline states. This is a map of consistent Democrat and Republican, or in the middle. Do you live in a swing or safe state? Are you Democrat or Republican?

Math

Math is my favorite subject in school. Not only is it an very educational topic, it is a topic that has been around for many years. For example, in Ancient Rome, Roman Numerals were used. A list of Roman Numerals is shown:

I  1
V 5
X 10
L 50
C 100
D 500
M 1000

Later, people brought base-10 and arabic numerals to the West/ New World. This is the counting system we encounter today (unless you are taking a Roman Numerals Test).

The Austin Times

I have a newspaper called The Austin Times. It is about me and my life. My newspaper is weekly, coming out every week. When I do my newspaper, I write what I am interested in and what I like. This newspaper comes out every Sunday, and has 5-6 parts. Sometimes, I put in recipes from other people.
